about me

After tumultuous teenage years struggling with drug addiction, the juvenile detention system, toxic relationships, and the suicide of my brother John, I was convinced I was alone and meant to suffer.

I was wrong.

I walked into my first yoga class in 2004 and through deep breathing, movement, and meditation I was able to capture a few moments of calm in the chaos of my early life. Over two decades later, my yoga and breathing practice has allowed me to create enough space to consistently handle stress and cultivate a peaceful mindset.

I felt called to embark on a pilgrimage to the birthplace of yoga and pursue my 500-hr advanced yoga teacher training. I am grateful to have studied under the wise Guru Ananda Prakash and the other yoga masters at Nepal Yoga Home. My teachers inspired me to share their traditions and I am honored to pass on their knowledge to anyone willing to learn.

The most important truth I have uncovered through my journey is we are not alone. Joy, love, pain, grief - emotions are a natural part of the human experience that bind us together. And yes, yoga is great for healing - but that is just the start. Yoga is also about finding joy. So if this resonates with you and you are looking for a safe environment to start or deepen your practice, you are always welcome to flow with me.

Namaste
